  1. How does the prac­tice of artis­tic research affect aca­d­e­mic culture?

    Artis­tic research affects aca­d­e­mic cul­ture in a very visual way. Through art, we learn to visu­ally dis­sect things. We learn in a very hands on con­cep­tual way. Artis­tic research teaches this which leads to a direct cor­re­la­tion with how it affects aca­d­e­mic cul­ture. Artis­tic research teaches the aca­d­e­mic cul­ture to embrace a visual and infor­ma­tional design. Art research teaches the aca­d­e­mic cul­ture to “instruct and delight”. Our teacher gave us an assign­ment that told us to make a nar­ra­tive with no words. We had to cre­ate a story through our pho­tographs and present it to the class.
