How does the practice of artistic research affect academic culture?
Artistic research affects academic culture in a very visual way. Through art, we learn to visually dissect things. We learn in a very hands on conceptual way. Artistic research teaches this which leads to a direct correlation with how it affects academic culture. Artistic research teaches the academic culture to embrace a visual and informational design. Art research teaches the academic culture to “instruct and delight”. Our teacher gave us an assignment that told us to make a narrative with no words. We had to create a story through our photographs and present it to the class.
