Highly apt for our discussion today, for a site-moment of invention in electracy (not true/false):

    Dictionary.com
Word of the Day for Monday, February 1, 2010

    mondegreen \MON-di-green\, noun:

A word or phrase resulting from a misinterpretation of a word or phrase that has been heard.

    Q. “chora(l) category” ?

    — (mis)heard as “coral

              — animal, mineral, both? (undecidable?)

              — home to sponges (porous; note associations…)

    — for some, “coral” evokes color:

    Imagine reef off-shore?

    (good friends’ wedding
    @home in July;
I was not their style consultant!)

    also? (misppelling)

    Community?
    Entertainment? (TV ads)

    Q. “choral category” ?

    — update: Kora instrument, identified by Paridhie. (association relay/concept?)

    Chorale (music):

            — hymn, sung by congregation (not prof. choir)

            — “Chorale setting

Choral group — choir of different voices (“SATB”)

    Anecdote

Andrew Hink @ rehearsal (?) before chorus
performance at Academy of Music (Sat 30-Jan).
    No idea about the mask (or lighting?);
however, (from the only pix posted on FB)
we can tell that he and friends are
    in the mode/mood of electracy
    with their behavior (“play”)….
…rather than the ritual of Worship,
of the oldest opera house in the U.S. (1857)
    — or of the new chandelier,
    in a somber/serious mood/mode (Church)
    addendum: his hyperlinked name
illuminates irony, his performing in a church!

(by analogy: our inventing with/in electracy in School)

Curiously, Andrew did not make any mention of “opening” for the headlining act (Sting with the orchestra) —
probably due to Career dimension of his popcycle (professional musician).
In any case, I imagine that none of the songs had any Punctum (memory sting, get it?) for him…
nor for me (Police = way before my time! Solo = irrelevant).
In fact, only prominent memory is a strange / postmodern / (triple-)mediated one:

Puff Daddy – I’ll be Missing You

    MySpace Video

    1997 MTV VMAs

While for Andrew’s cohorts (current college undergrads),
this is perhaps mediated interaction with Sting (avatar form = electracy?):

    Expert mode?

  4. [...] media. Remember, our concern is expression and experience, not judgment (right/wrong, true/false); review apparatus. Finally, comments must be productive and respectful in order to receive credit, just like last [...]
