  1. The very nature of remixed media makes me feel like it avails itself to many coun­ter­cul­tural forces. The most impor­tant of these to us being activism. Remixed media has the abil­ity to raise aware­ness and teach indi­vid­u­als while main­tain­ing a non-academic voice. As the edu­ca­tion group has already voiced, using such media will likely give us a bet­ter chance of sim­ply catch­ing people’s atten­tion. Per­son­ally, I feel it should be the goal of our group to sim­ply make peo­ple aware of the issue and to do their own think­ing and opin­ion making.
